Legrand Australia Announces Two New Senior Appointments

Legrand Australia, part of the global Legrand network, congratulates Daniel Vega Oropeza on his recent appointment to Head of Operations and Tosh Bourke on his new role as Sales Director - Australia. Specialists in products and systems for electrical installations and digital building infrastructures, Legrand Australia designs, manufactures and distributes over 15,000 items under six premium brands: Legrand, HPM, BTicino, Cablofil, Netatmo and CP Electronics.

2023 marks Daniel’s 20th anniversary at Legrand, eight years of which he has been based out of the company’s local HQ at Prestons, Sydney. Daniel has previously held positions as Production Manager and Operations, Process Engineering Manager, Lean Manufacturing Officer for Legrand Australia. In his new role, Daniel oversees the ANZ supply chain including warehouse logistics, planning and sales forecasting as well as production, maintenance, product engineering and driving cost efficiencies.

Commenting on his new role, Daniel said, “I am delighted to have been appointed as Head of Operations, which allows me to further advance continuous improvement for Legrand’s ANZ business. The Legrand Group’s purpose is to improve lives, and I am looking forward to continuing to be a part of the local team that provides innovative solutions for our customers.”

Tosh brings over two decades of invaluable sales, marketing and commercial management expertise to his new role as Sales Director – Australia, initially joining Legrand’s partnered brand, HPM in 2001. Tosh has held several positions during his time with the company, most recently as General Manager Commercial, where he was the lead for Legrand Australia’s commercial sector. In his new role, Tosh will support the direction and action plans for Legrand Australia’s retail and trade businesses across 90 sales staff, covering the company’s local sales operations.

Speaking on his new position, Tosh said, “I am looking forward to moving into my new role as Sales Director – Australia. Taking on this key position within the company allows me to drive further successes for Legrand Australia across our local retail and trade business, as well as giving me the opportunity to work more closely with our sales team, who play such a vital role within the organisation.”

Legrand boasts a local manufacturing facility in the Sydney suburb of Prestons, providing jobs for over 350 Australians. At Prestons, Legrand manufactures wiring devices like switches and sockets, emergency lighting units and other product ranges tailored specifically for the ANZ.
